The Majority Youth League of the former ruling Unity Party and other auxiliaries groupings are calling on the National Executive Committee of the Party to immediately launch an investigation into claims of corruption in the Party.
The Groups through their Chairman Ernest Gbokayou alleged that the Party’s National Chairman Ami Moda received a bribe from Alexander Cummings to undermine Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s quest to head the CPP comes 2023.
He described Ami Moda as a collaborator and operative planted in the Unity Party working with Liberty Party National Chairman Musa Bility to betray Ambassador Boakai to satisfy their personal interest against the majority will of the people.
Ernest Gbokayou speaking over the weekend also recommended the casting of a vote of no confidence in Ami Moda and his removal as National Chair of the Unity Party for his alleged involvement in acts of corruption.
Meanwhile, Moda and Bility are yet to respond to the claims from the Majority Youth League of the former ruling Unity Party and other auxiliaries groupings.
