The Civil Law Court will resume legal business this Monday, September 20, for the September term of Court consistent with Chapter 3, section 3.8 of the Judiciary Law of Liberia.
The law states “the Civil Law Court shall open its quarterly session on the third Monday in March, June, September, and December in each year.
The law further states “The quarterly sessions of that court shall be entitled the March, June, September and December Sessions”.
Today’s opening of the Court according to our Judicial Correspondent will witness the return of the Court’s Resident Judge Kennedy Peabody, after being away from three terms of Court.
Activities leading to the opening of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Montserrado County known as the Civil Law Court for the September Term were announced by the Clerk Madam Ellen Hall-Kamara of the Court over the weekend.
Ahead of the opening, Madam Ellen Hall-Kamara is calling on all Counselors and Attorney-At-Law as well as prospective jury and party litigants to grace the event at 10:00am at the Temple of Justice.
