A Liberian legal Practitioner, Cllr. Kpoto Gizzie has broken silence over claims surrounding Atty. Aaron Kartee’s arrest.
Recently, the Director for Felony Crimes, Cllr. Cornelius Warnah placed a hold on Atty. Aaron Kartee’s arrest on grounds; he was misled by the Private Prosecutor’s lawyer, Cllr. Kpoto Gizzie.
But Cllr. Kpoto Gizzie Wednesday told our Judicial Correspondent that at no time he misled Cllr. Cornelius Warnah as claimed.
Cllr. Gizzie said he presented facts and hard evidence that led to Cllr. Warnah parading witnesses before the Grand Jury of Montserrado County out of which an indictment was formed by the Grand Jury consistent with the law.
However, Cllr. Gizzie revealed that Cllr. Warnah has informed him that the manner and form used to obtain Atty. Aaron Kartee’s criminal indictment from the Grand Jury of Montserrado County was unbalanced and wanted the proper procedure followed as provided by law.
Our Judicial Correspondent further said that despite the lawyers’ claims and counterclaims, Atty. Aaron Kartee, assigned Public Defender of Grand Bassa County’s criminal indictment is still before Criminal Court ‘A’ for allegedly flogging his Ex-wife Victoria Kartee in Monrovia.
Atty. Kartee was indicted during the August Term of Court for multiple offenses, ranging from aggravated assault to; attempt to commit murder and theft of property.
