Montserrado County Senator Saah H. Joseph, along with partners from the United States of America donated a 40ft container of assorted medical supplies and equipment to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center to help in combating the current wave of the Covid-19 scourge in Liberia.
Speaking Thursday during the donation, Senator Joseph Chief of office staff Joseph Cooper, said Senator Joseph continues to engage with development partners in the US in support of the government of Liberia’s development drive in keeping with the pro-poor agenda for prosperity and development.
Cooper who handed over the container on behalf of Senator Saah Joseph said, the donation is in fulfillment of the Senator’s promise to the Liberian people as he lobbies to help in the fight against Covid-19 in Liberia.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the board of Directors of the JFK Medical Center, the Facility Chief Administrator Dr. Jerry Brown said the donation is not the first from Senator Saah Joseph, but rather he has donated several other medical types of equipment to the health facility.
Dr. Brown however expressed gratitude to Senator Joseph and Partners for the donation and promised that the materials donated will be used for their intended purpose.
Also speaking during the donation exercise, Dr. Peter Coleman Chief Surgeon at the John F Kennedy Medical Center, and Chief Medical officer of the Montserrado County health team sponsored by Senator Saah Joseph thanked the Senator for his continuous support to the health sector in Liberia.
Dr. Peter intoned that another donation will also be made at the Redemption Hospital and other health centers in Montserrado County, adding that there were several containers brought to the country with medical equipment and other assorted Materials.
