The Ministry of Transport has frowned at vehicle owners for what it calls shying away from the on-going motor-vehicle inspection exercises aimed at undermining the process.
Speaking with Freedom News Monday, the Director of Communications at the Ministry of Transport Lemuel Kleeme said the Ministry has observed that owners of private vehicles are parking their vehicles and riding commercial vehicles awaiting the end of the inspection exercises.
According to him, such act from said vehicle owners is undermining the entire process and is also defrauding government of needed revenue.
He said as a result, the Ministry of Transports has re-strategized new plans for the on-going inspection exercises.
The Ministry of Transport Director of Communications further stated that the Ministry along with the Liberia National Police and the Liberia Revenue Authority is making sure that every vehicle owner adhere to the inspection exercise.
