The Assigned Judge at the 5th Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Cape Mount County says the National Trial Judges Association of Liberia operations are not benefitting its member.
Judge Blamo Dixon said the association under Judge Eva Mappy-Morgan is not proactive on sensitive issues regarding the plight of judicial employees which include judges and magistrates.
Judge Dixon said since Chief Justice Francis Korkpor spoke against slashing of judicial employees’ incomes three years ago, the Trial Judges Association and the Liberian National Bar Association have failed to buttress Justice Korkpor’s statement.
He maintained that the legal institution is not living up to its mandate but is deeply involved in crediting money to members for marriage, graduation, burial among others. Our Judicial Correspondent said Judge Blamo’s statement was contained in his charged Monday during opening of the August Term at the 5th Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Cape Mount County.
