
Liberia National Fire Service Director Alex Dickson has empathized with families and business owners who lost their homes and business centers in a fire incident over the weekend on Water Street in Central Monrovia.
Speaking to scores of Journalists at the scene of the incident, Director Dickson said it was sad to see homes and businesses get damaged at this difficult time in the Country.
He added that the incident occurred when a petroleum tanker experienced brake failure on Buchanan Street.
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Fire Service Director said the incident has put the National Fire Service in the position to inspect every petroleum tanker plying the streets of Monrovia. He added that Petroleum tankers plying the city should meet all safety measures before plying the streets, adding that the timely intervention of the LNFS prevented more destruction.
