
The Director-General of the National Roads Fund of Liberia Director-General Boniface Satu has termed as disappointing, statement of allegation coming from River Cess Senator Willington Smith against the NRF.
Speaking with Freedom News Tuesday in Sinkor, Director Satu said the NRF is disappointed with the Senator’s statement which was published in the Inquire News Paper, citing the National Roads Fund to an investigation on the expenditure of Six Hundred and forty thousand United States Dollars on roads work in River Cess County.
According to him, the amount in question is accurate, as such the NRF is inviting the River Cess County Senator to the office of the NRF to get the correct and detailed information regarding the expenditure.
Director Satu further disclosed that the General Auditing Commission is currently conducting three years audit at the office of the NRF, and called on Senator Smith to cite all of the contractors to verify and get correct detail of the expenditure.
Satu also encouraged Senator Smith to visit the Ministry of Public Works for further detail, adding that his allegation has the propensity of damaging the image of the institution to its international partners and financial institutions partnering with the NRF.
