Monrovia-Liberian Legal Practitioner, Cllr. George Kailondo has denied a media report that he is being subjected to criminal investigation at the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission.
On Tuesday, August 17, the Monrovia City Court mandated the International Bank Liberia Limited and Global Bank Banks to surrender all transaction documents of the National Oil Company of Liberia and the Kailondo Petroleum Incorporated to the Court.
The Court’s decision was based on a petition from the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission.
However, Cllr. Kailondo Wednesday, August 18, 2021, confirmed the LACC’s request to Global Bank Liberia Limited to turnover his petroleum bank statement.
Nevertheless, he noted that his confirmation was based on a complaint he had filed on behalf of his petroleum company, Kailondo Petroleum Incorporated, to the Ministry of Justice.
The Liberian Lawyer further claimed that his account to the Justice Ministry was on the subject of monies that were unlawfully taken from his company accounts from Global Bank Liberia Limited.
