
The Keynote Speaker at this year’s celebration of World Photography Day, Jacob Parley has called on the Leadership of the National Photographers Union of Liberia to engage the Legislature to enact a law that will compel photo laboratory owners to support the Union.
Speaking Thursday in Monrovia, Parley lamented that for too long the Union has struggled to survive, as such mechanisms must be put in place to support the operations of the Union.
He used the occasion to cautioned members of the Union to work collaboratively to ensure the growth and development of the Union.
Jacob Parley also encouraged the Leadership of the National Photographers Union of Liberia to prioritize capacity building for its members and to network with other Unions in the sub-region among others.
For his part, the President of the National Photographers Union of Liberia Lawrence Foko lauded members of the union for the level of support to his leadership.
He also urged the Union’s members to forget their differences and unite for the forward march of the National Photographers Union of Liberia.
