Former Deputy Police Inspector General for Operations, Abraham Kromah has called for an increment in budgetary allocation for the Liberia National Police.
Speaking Monday on the Freedom Morning Rise, Kromah stated that the LNP can only be effective in its operations if it is given the requisite support from Government.
He decried a decrease in budgetary allotment for the Liberia National Police, stating that such is impeding the functions of the LNP.
The former Deputy Police Inspector General for Operations also added that as election approaches, the need to support the LNP cannot be over-emphasized.
He added that Government must ensure that the Police are adequately prepared ahead of the elections to respond to acts of lawlessness, and restore peace in the case of violence.
