Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor has expressed concern over the Liberian Senate’s failure to pass key legislations during the Fourth Session of the 54th National Legislature.
Addressing members of the upper house at the close of its fourth session Tuesday, VP Taylor said key among the legislations are the National Youth Policy, the Amendment of the Code of Conduct, Allocation for cities budgets, and the Whistle Blower Act.
She said the instruments are cardinal, especially when the country is to go to the election in 2023.
The Vice President further noted that the passage of the instruments will solidify Liberia’s democracy and enable the three branches of government to freely interact.
Meanwhile, VP Taylor also lauded Senators for the passage of other vital legislation during the 4th session of the 54th Legislature.
