Collaborating Political Parties Chairperson and Political Leader of the Liberty Party Senator Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence has refuted reports that the majority of Leaders of the CPP are violating the framework agreement of the Collaboration.
Senator Karngar Lawrence’s statement comes following claims by Alternative National Congress Political Leader Alexander Cummings, a constituent member of the CPP that the framework document of the Collaboration is being allegedly violated by other Political Leaders of the CPP.
It can be recalled, the ANC Political Leader over the weekend walked out of a CPP Political Leaders meeting in Monrovia, over claims that the other Political Leaders were taking decisions contrary to the framework governing the CPP.
But the CPP Chairperson Senator Karngar Lawrence denied the claims from the ANC Political Leader, noting that though there were issues, they were being addressed with the consent of all of the Political Leaders.
She named the issue of the qualification of Political Leaders of the CPP who have interest in heading the CPP ahead of the consensus, expansion of the term of the Collaboration’s Chairperson, the review of the frame work document, among others as issues that were jointly discussed with all of the Political Leaders including Alexander Cummings reaching an agreement to resolve the issues.
The CPP Chairperson lamented that it was unfortunate for the ANC Political Leader to walk out of a called meeting of the Collaboration’s Political Leaders over claims of violation.
