The Secretary of the Liberian Senate Nanborlor Singbeh is seeking for a letter of paten from the Ministry of Justice to prosecute a foreign national Hams Amstrong at the 9th Judicial Circuit Court in Bong County for theft.
Singbah’s evidence to the Grand Jury of Bong County in 2019 led to defendant Hams Amstrong’s indictment for allegedly stealing over 200-Thousand United States Dollars from their joined company in Monrovia.
Singbah’s request for prosecuting power from the Ministry of Justice was triggered by the Assistant Minister for Litigation, Cllr. Wesseh A. Wesseh’s application to the 9th Judicial Circuit Court to dismiss his criminal indictment against defendant Hams Amstrong.
The Senate Secretary request to Justice Minister Musa Dean reportedly accused Cllr. Wesseh of taking side with the foreign National to damage his case that is currently before the 9th Judicial Circuit Court in Bong County.
Our Judicial Correspondent further said that authority at the Justice Ministry have confirmed precept of Nanborlor Singbeh’s October 13, 2021 communication, but the Minister is yet to respond to his request.
