The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has released the draw for the 2021/2022 National County Sports Meet that is set to kick off on December 11, 2021.
According to the Youth and Sports Minister D. Zeogar Wilson, an Official Ceremony will be held in Kakata, Margibi County, and is expected to be graced by His Excellency Dr. George M. Weah, Vice President Jewel Cianeh Taylor, and other Senior Government Officials.
He said this year’s edition of the Nationwide showpiece will feature Volleyball, Basketball, and Athletics along with Liberia’s most populous Sports, Kickball, and football.
The Liberian National County Meet is the top knockout County Tournament of Liberian Football Inaugurated in 1956 and is set to kick off on December 11 of this year with two teams qualifying from each zone respectively.
Since the inception of the tournament in 1956, it remained undoubtedly the most followed Sporting Festival in the country and has always been Organized by the Ministries of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
