Chief Justice Francis Korkpor has released his November Term of Court assignments for Circuit Courts’ Judges.
Justice Korkpor’s November term duty according to our Judicial Correspondent affected Criminal Court ‘B, C, and D as well as the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 11th, 13th, and 16th Judicial Circuit Courts in the Country.
Judge Ousman Feika leaves Criminal Court ‘C’ for the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Bomi County.
Judge Feika was replaced by Bomi County Resident Judge Ciapha Carey, and Judge Koiboi Nuta returned to Criminal Court ‘B’, while Judge Roosevelt Willie is retained at Criminal Court ‘A & D’.
Justice Korkpor’s November term shakeups are consistent with Chapter 3, Section 3.9 of the judicial canon which states “The Chief Justice shall rotate Circuit Courts Judges during its quarterly terms”. The Priest of the High Court rotation comes at the time when Circuit Courts are about to resume legal business for the November Term of Court consistent with Chapter 3, Section 3.5 of the Judiciary Law of Liberia.
