
St. John River City Mayor James Brooks has decried an increase in the number of tragic accidents in St. John River City.
Speaking with reports Tuesday, in St. John River City, Mayor Brooks said over-speeding of vehicles by drivers is a major factor resulting in to increase in a road accidents along that route.
He disclosed that there will be a joint security meeting held shortly, on how to curtail the increase in the number of accident cases in the City.
Brooks said the Ministry of Transport should not only be concerned about giving drivers licenses but should set up regulations for drivers to be tested before being issued a license.
He, however, said drivers are giving authorities hard time in that part of the county and as such, the police IG needs to deploy a night patrol to stop drivers from speeding to avoid accidents.
The Mayor has at the same time extended sympathy to bereaved families for the loss of their love.
Mayor Brooks then urged passengers to continue reminding drivers not to speed while they are on a vehicle in other to save lives and prosperities.
