
Orange Liberia has pledged its full support and collaboration to the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission in fighting fraud in the country.
Speaking Wednesday when the leadership of the GSM Company paid a courtesy visit to the LACC in Congo Town, the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Jean Marius Yao said the Company has a zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
He disclosed that the Company is keen on ethics and compliance and also encourages whistle-blowing to avoid issues of corruption.
In response the Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-corruption Commission Cllr. Edwin Martin said the partnership is important in the fight against corruption, especially with Orange a major player in the country’s corporate space.
Cllr. Martin praised the intervention of Orange-Liberia in the telecom industry of the Country and said it has helped to break long-standing monopoly practices.
The Country’s Anti-graft Chief further encouraged the management of Orange country to continue to engage in fair business practices and avoid unwholesome acts.
He said the LACC is looking forward to a partnership in the area of education and prevention including the printing of joint billboards, production of jingles, and anti-corruption materials.
