
The Liberia National Bar Association has elected new corps of officers to steer the affairs, of the association for the next three years with the incumbent Vice President Cllr. Sylvester Rennie emerged as the institution new President.
Cllr. Rennie accumulated 218-votes while Cllr. Jallah Barbu came second with 129-votes, followed by Cllr. Abraham Sillah with 114 votes and Cllr. Alhaji Swaliho Sesay, with 13-votes.
Cllr. Jamel Dethro won the Vice President’s position by defeating LNBA incumbent Secretary-General, Cllr. Bobby Livingstone by 250 to 215-votes.
Cllr. Bornor Varmah emerged as the winner for the secretary-general position, over Cllr. Luther Yorfee, Cllr. Jura Lynch and Atty. Lamii Kpargoi.
The Association’s incumbent treasurer Cllr. Rachel Yabah-Doubah retained her position with victory over Atty. Mameita Jabateh -Sirleaf.
Meanwhile, all defeated candidates have conceded defeat by congratulating the winners after the results were announced by LNBA’s Elections Committee Headed by Cllr. Cyrus Jones at Peace Empire Hotel in Ganta, Nimba County.
About 476-Liberian Legal Practitioners including Justices of the Supreme Court Bench participated in the just-ended LNBA Election in Ganta, Nimba County.
