The ex-wife of a Liberian legal practitioner has accused prosecuting lawyers of refusing to bring her ex-husband Atty. Arron Kertee under the jurisdiction of the Court to face criminal prosecution after he allegedly attempted to kill her.
Madam Victoria Kerkula on Tuesday said, since Atty. Kartee was indicted by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County, he is yet to be served with his sealed indictment.
Madam Kerkula expressed frustration over the matter and call for the intervention of women groups in the country on her behalf.
She lamented that Atty. Kertee was using his legal connection to avoid prosecution, alleging that the delay of prosecuting lawyers surrounding her case with her ex-lover clearly demonstrates a lack of justice for the poor.
Atty. Kartee is the assigned Public Defender of Grand Bassa County.
His offenses range from aggravated assault, theft of property, and criminal attempt to commit murder.
