
Local authorities of Zorzor City, Lofa County have begun the plating of solar lights at major streets in the city, in fulfillment of President Weah’s promise during the county tour to light up Lofa County.
Upon prior to the lighting ceremony, Zorzor District Commissioner Joseph Bedel appreciated the efforts of President Weah for living up to his promise.
Commissioner Bedel promised to continue working along with the president so that the pro-poor Agenda for development and prosperity can be met.
For her part, Zorzor City Mayor Garmai Gbelee also appreciated the efforts of the president and promise to take care of the street lights by ensuring that a committee is set up to protect them from criminals.
Mayor Gbelee further inform the public that anyone who will be cut stealing the street lights will be prosecuted in line with the laws of Liberia.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bob Gbese who represented Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment Executive Director Peci Yekeh said he will work with other citizens from the district towards its growth and development.
