
The re-election bid of Liberia Football Association President Mustapha Raji received a major boost Wednesday, following his endorsement by the Inter-School Sports Association.
ISSA In a statement read by it President Gar Zepu at a program marking the occasions cited the steady progress in Raji overall football developmental program since 2018 as the basis for endorsing his second-term bid.
The ISSA Boss commended the LFA President for the sharp transformation he has made from the level of ISSA to the national league, since his ascendency to the presidency of Liberian football.
Mr. Zepu emphasized that ISSA will go door-to-door to tell people why Raji must be re-elected.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Principal Association of Liberia Benjamin Wehyee also sashed the LFA President on Wednesday, in recognition of his support for education and sports in the country.
Wheyee at the same time used the occasion to name Raji as the Dean of Students for all schools in the country and called on him to see a reason to develop more school coaches in the country.
In response, Mr. Raji lauded the group for the honor and promised to continue building on the foundation that has already been laid over the past five years.
Raji said the program was not for him to be honored, but for ISSA to be honored because the progress that the local football house has made could not be possible without ISSA participation.
He reiterated his support for the improvement of football in the country, restating that football money will be used for football development.
Wednesday program was among several activities being staged around the country in support of the Raji seconds term bid as LFA President.
