The Civil Law Court has mandated Montserrado County Senator Dillon to appear in the Office of the Sheriff daily to sign in, while he and his Lawyers begin the process to obtain his Two Million United States Dollars indemnity bond.
The Montserrado County Senator was accompanied to the Court Monday by his lawyers for prosecution.
His appearance followed Cllr. Arthur Johnson’s January 28, 2022 application to the Court seeking for Senator Dillion’s arrest, after Court officers claimed that they were finding it difficult to locate him in connection with Liberty Party Chairman Musa Bility’s One Million United States Dollars lawsuit against him.
Senator Dillon was briefly detained in the Sheriff’s Office and served with his Writ of Summon by attachment, thereby coming under the jurisdiction of the court consistent with the law.
However, the Court confirmed that the Monsterrado County Senator was released to his lawyer Cllr. Augustin Fayiah, after Dillon’s lawyer, pleaded with the Court for more time to allow his client to secure his Two Million United States Dollars indemnity bond.
Our Judicial Correspondent further said that the Court also mandated Senator Dillon to appear in the Office of the Sheriff daily to sign in while trying to obtain his Two Million United States Dollars indemnity bond.
Meanwhile, following his appearance at the Civil Court on Monday, Senator Dillon said his appearance is in adherence to the rule of law.
According to the Montserrado County Senator, he will pursue the case to a logical conclusion.
Senator Dillon also vowed to follow all legal processes to include his constitutional privilege.
The Montserrado County Senator was also accompanied by Grand Bass County Senator and standard-bearer of the Liberty Party Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence.
