The National Executive Committee of the opposition Liberty Party has expelled several of its party executives including its standard-bearer Nyounblee Karnga-Lawrence, Vice Standard Bearer for Political Affairs Darius Dillon, and Representative Hans Barchue among others.
According to a release from the Liberty Party, the decision to expelled the party follows their suspension in November and December of 2021, for their alleged failure to pay party dues and a mandate to settle their deficiencies in 90-days.
The release signed by its National Secretary-General Martin Kollah further noted that, since the mandate to those expelled, they allegedly failed to settle their deficiencies, leaving the National Executive Committee with no options but to expel them.
Others expelled include; Daniel Sando Vice-Chair for Press and Public Affairs, Kla Edward Toomey, NEC Eminent Member, Steve Zargo, Legislative Caucus Member, Jacob Smith, National Advisory Council Member, Jonathan Kaipay, Legislative Caucus Member, Romeo Coker, Montserrado County Chair, and Eugene Tarr, County Secretary, Grand Bassa among others.
