Opposition Unity Party has disclosed that its Standard Bearer Joseph Boakai, former Vice President of the Republic of Liberia has departed the country for a visit to attend a wide range of programs designed to strengthen economic, political, and social ties with his Diaspora support base, at the same time harnessing his relationship with major actors in the global leadership platform.
According to a Unity Party release, the former Vice President who was endorsed by a group that claimed to be “Disenchanted CDCians” at the Unity Party Headquarters in Monrovia trip was scheduled for October 2022 but was postponed to January 2023 due to the arrival of a high-power business delegation led by Georgia State Senator Donzella James, followed by a brief trip in Nigeria late last year in Liberia.
But Political pundits believe that the former Vice President’s trip to the United State is meant for him to seek advanced medical treatment amidst news surrounding his deplorable health condition.
